The HP-12C programmable financial calculator has remained a reference since its release in 1981.
and it was reissued in 2011 under the name HP-12C 30th Anniversary.
A recent version, based on an ARM processor, the HP-12C+ was released after 2020.
The firmware of this model can be updated using a POGO cable.
There are two variants of the version released as the HP-12C Platinum.
The first variant has a silver faceplate.
The second variant returns to a black front plate, as originally.
in 2006 it is the 25th anniversary which gives us HP-12C Platinum 25th Anniversary

In recent years, SwissMicros calculators have arrived...
the DM12 in credit card format and then the DM12L which replaced it.
And of course the PX-12C...
In 2007, Victor Technology launched the V12 financial calculator... clones or copies of the HP-12C???
Then also in China and Brazil were born other financial calculators very very very close to the HP-12C.
Here too the question arises as to whether they are clones, imitations or copies (?)

Exchanging programs from a "12C" calculator to a Windows or Android emulator is only possible with one model: the DM12L and one emulator: TouchRPN 12C on Android.
The various original Hewlett Packard calculators, and all other models unfortunately cannot communicate with a PC and exchange data.

the Interface
|
|
|
 The Swissmicros DM12 programming tool web interface allows you to generate:
either dumps from HP-12C source programs copied/pasted from a "TXT" list
or HP-12C source programs in TXT from DM12L dumps.
Dumps are exchanged with the DM12L using a USB cable and the PuTTY program.
