ET-57 / ET-58

Cult calculators for fans of algebraic notation, the TI-57, TI-58/58C and TI-59 B> inspired Miroslav Nemecek, an engineer from the Czech Republic, who offers on his site the complete diagrams to produce clones of these programmable calculators Texas Instruments:

The ET-57 calculator is conceptually based on the famous TI-57 calculator, developed in 1977 by Texas Instruments.
It tries to maintain compatibility with programs written for the TI-57 while extending functionality by utilizing the capabilities of the processor being used.
The functionality is extended by more program spaces (10 spaces for a total of 500 steps), more data registers (80), direct and indirect addressing, factorial, random number generator...

Although not lucky enough to own an ET-57 (incompetent in electronics...), I had the opportunity to write the manuals in French and in English:
  • User Manual (A4)
  • English Français
  • User Manual (for A5 print)
  • English Français

  • ET-57M
  • For more information, see Miroslav Nemecek's website : Website in Czech Website in English
This TI-57 clone may seem like a gimmick but is nevertheless a small-scale replica of the ET-57 with all its features.
It will often be necessary to use numerous key sequences to obtain a function:
    for X !

The pages documented by Miroslav Nemecek are very complete and include not only the diagrams, the lists of components but also all the documentation and explanations necessary for the manufacture of these calculators.
Bravo for this magnificent work !

Unfortunately some projects have not yet been completed. And for projects that are completed there is no commercialization and only those who have some electronics skills will be able to make the calculators.
(Personally I am not competent and my welds are real junk !)
